About Us

Turner Engineering is a mechanical/electrical construction engineering firm.

Formed in 2003, we specialize in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical Engineering in the building construction community.

HVAC

Our team designs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and cooling (HVAC) systems, as well as refrigeration systems.

Plumbing

Our services include planning, design and installation of building systems related to plumbing, including water supply and drainage.

Fire Protection

We work with you to install fire protection systems such as manual systems, automatic systems, and emergency response practices.

Electrical

We design cost effective, reliable and energy efficient electrical systems. Sustainable systems are properly sized. We take the time to properly calculate lighting systems and use our experience to right-size power distribution systems. This results in cost effective design.

It is our goal to bring sustainability to all of our projects. We demonstrate how sustainable and thoughtful design can actually save money during construction, reduce maintenance, lower operational costs, and increase building value. Our projects focus primarily on:

Sustainable Design

We are strong advocates of geothermal energy and the huge benefits geothermal energy systems can offer. This system, when coupled with a solar energy component, can greatly reduce or eliminate the effect on the energy grid, creating a self-sustaining and net zero carbon project.

Our Approach

Our approach is to provide leadership on every project, to “think like an owner”

This starts by selecting the correct systems for the project, based on project type, budget, code requirements, and long term maintenance requirements and costs. We look at each project and make recommendations based on what we would want to achieve if it was our building, balancing sustainability, maintenance costs, and energy costs, with a strong emphasis on first cost, while meeting and exceeding the owner and architect's vision for the project.
Dan Turner

Leadership

Dan Turner has over 35 years of professional experience providing engineering design and project leadership for a wide range of facilities. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College in 1987, and is a LEED™ accredited design professional. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia, and Tennessee.
